BIG SPRING, TX — Tickets are still available for this year’s Historic Ghost Tours in downtown Big Spring. The Big Spring Ghost Tour is an annual guided tour through downtown Big Spring that examines the local haunted history of the area.
“I’ve been to other cities and enjoy doing walking tour of their downtown areas which often are wrapped into these kind of ghostly historical stories because it’s kind of a fun way to walk in the same places that these people walked and kind of imagine the world as they saw it as you’re looking at the buildings they’ve left behind are the way that the downtown area looks now,” said Shonda Folsom, an organizer for the tour.
Folsom went on to say that this is a different type of Halloween event that is adult-friendly and teenager friendly. It’s also a way to highlight downtown and the history of the area.
The tour begins at The Train Car Cigar Bar, located at 100 S. Main, and lasts approximately 90 minutes. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes and weather appropriate clothing.
Tours will be scheduled October 20, 21, and 28th. Showtimes are at 7 PM and 9 PM. Tickets can be purchased through the Train Car Cigar Bar for $25 each. Money raised from the seasonal tours benefit the Heritage Museum in Big Spring.
