BIG SPRING, TX — On Tuesday morning, the Big Spring Area Chamber of Commerce held a Thank You for Your Investment presentation for Workforce Solutions in Big Spring. The office is located on the Howard College campus at 1001 Birdwell Ln, next to Howard Cottage and behind the Harold Davis Fitness Center.
Mary Lou Acosta, Project Director for Workforce Solutions Permian Basin, told KBest News that it was an awesome feeling to have the Chamber’s recognition.
“It goes to show that the Chamber and the community appreciate our services in Big Spring,” said Acosta.
Workforce Solutions provides an array of services to the community, such as employment services, employer services, to the job seekers they have training services, and childcare services for the individuals in the community who qualify for it.
When asked if there’s anything she wanted the public to know about the Workforce Solutions in Big Spring, Acosta said, “I just want to make the Big Spring residents aware if they’re needing opportunities for a better future to come to the workforce office here at the campus, at the Big Spring Howard College campus, and see the services that we provide.”
“If they’re looking to upscale or learn new skills, please come to our Big Spring office and inquire about those services,” she continued.
Workforce Solutions will have a Resource Fair coming up on Saturday, July 29th, in Odessa, from 10 am to 2 pm. It will be 90’s themed, and there are several vendors that will be a part of the event.
