COAHOMA, TX — Coahoma High School held an on-campus Career and Technology (CTE) Fair for freshman and sophomore students on Monday.
The fair provided an overview of the variety of pathways students can follow while at CHS including video game design, culinary arts, agriculture, welding, family and community service, and floral design. Coahoma CTE teachers and upperclassmen gave a presentation about the options available.
In addition, Coahoma ISD has a long-standing partnership with Howard College to offer dual credit in CTE programs. Through Howard College, students can take classes in cosmetology, phlebotomy, teaching, and they can become a CNA while they are still in high school.
Coahoma Junior High School eighth graders attended the fair on Tuesday to gain more information to help make their decision on which pathway to follow in high school.
