FORSAN, TX — The Forsan Journalism department is inviting the public to join them for an early Valentine’s Day Spaghetti Dinner this week.
The dinner will be held on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2023, at 6 PM at the Forsan High School cafeteria, located at 411 W. 6th St. in Forsan. The meal will be prepared by the Yellow Rose Café at Scenic Mountain Medical Center and will be served by the Forsan Journalism students. The Journalism Department has also partnered with H-E-B for drinks, plates, and napkins.
Money raised from the community event will go to help with print costs for the Forsan yearbook. According to FHS Journalism teacher Amanda Duforat the fundraiser will also help the department to sell yearbooks at a reasonable price.
“It’s important that the students are able to have the memories, not just only learn about making the book,” said Duforat. She went on to say that it’s important to make the yearbooks affordable so that students can purchase them and have them to look at years from now.
Tickets are available in advance by contacting Amanda Duforat at Forsan High School or any of the Forsan Journalism students. Tickets are available for $10 per person, $15 per couple, or $25 for a family of 4.
