FORSAN, TX — On Friday morning, Forsan High School’s Nolan Park signed a letter of intent to play football for the University of Texas – Permian Basin, located in Odessa.
Park told KBest News that it was the actual signing itself at school with friends, family, and peers was fun but it had been a long process figuring out which school would be better for his future.
“I just want to thank the coaches at UTPB. Whenever I had my visit they made it feel like home there. I love the coaches and the facilities. Thank you to all my teammates and coaches over the past six years. They’ve led me up to this point and helped me through this process,” said Park.
He went on to say he loves playing offense, defense, and special teams but now looks forward to focusing only on special teams in college and just being able to help out the team any way he can.
Park says he plans to study Sports Management while at UTPB. He also told KBest News that he appreciated his family helping him to decide what school to choose. He said his parents graduated from UTPB and it also felt like home.
