COAHOMA, TX — Yesterday, Coahoma High School senior Christian Everett, four-year softball player for the Bulldogettes, signed her letter of intent to play softball at NCAA Division III Concordia University – Austin.
When asked what it meant to her to play softball at the next level, Everett said, “It just means to continue the legacy. Just keep providing and doing good things there.”
As the second baseman, Everett helped the Bulldogettes earn silver at the 2022 UIL State 3A championship tournament. When asked how last season is carrying her into this season, Everett said she’s pumped.
“I’m ready to get started! I’m glad I’m right around the corner so when they come back the next few years I can go watch [the Bulldogettes].”
Everett told KBest News that the most exciting thing about playing at the collegiate level was that it was fulfilling a dream.
“It’s something I’ve dreamt of since I was a little girl, and I’m fulfilling my dreams right now. It’s super exciting,” she said.
In 2021 and 2022 Everett was named to the All-District 5-3A first team and was selected to the 2022 Texas Girls Coaches Association (TGCA) All-State 3A team. She also was chosen to play in the 2022 TGCA 1A-2A-3A-4A All-Star Game.
