HOWARD COUNTY, TX — Yesterday afternoon, many people gathered at the 118th District Court in Big Spring to say farewell to the Honorable Timothy D. Yeats, 118th Judicial District Judge, as he headed into retirement.
Judge Yeats has served Howard, Martin & Glasscock counties as District Judge since January 1, 2011. His last day is December 31, 2022. He’s been licensed for 40 years.
When asked what his plans are for retirement, Judge Yeats told KBest News he and his wife planned to sell their house soon and move to Brownwood to be closer to grandkids. He also stated that he would still be able to sit as a visiting judge in various places and he may or may not do that.
Newly elected 118th Judicial District Judge Shane Seaton will be sworn into the office on Jan. 1, 2023.
