Tate’s Place, a local non-profit organization geared towards serving others in their time of need, will host its first annual Back To School Community Bash next month. The event will be held on Sunday, August 7th, at the Russ McEwen Aquatic Center in Big Spring from 2-5:30 pm.
This is a free event that allows families to stock up on everything needed for back to school, such as backpacks and school supplies provided by Back in Motion, shoes, and daily hygiene essentials. There will even be spirit shirts and an opportunity to schedule immunizations.
The event is co-sponsored by the City of Big Spring. Families are encouraged to attend and enjoy the free time at the water park, music, food, and drinks.
Time at the aquatic center will be first come first serve basis with one-hour time blocks.
Anyone wanting to volunteer for the event can sign-up by reaching out on the Facebook page for Tate’s Place.
