COLORADO CITY, TX — Last week, Coahoma and Forsan high school powerlifting teams competed in the C-City Invitational in Colorado City. Both Howard County schools earned championship plaques.
Forsan Boys came in first place with Boyzz Stillwell, Nolan Park, Auggie Cervantes, and Jayden Golleher all placing first in their respective weight classes. Emma Peffer and Kelcey Zubiate also placed first for Forsan as in their respective weight classes. Those placing second for Forsan teams included Emma Buske, Auggie Salas, and Kolden Averrete.
Coahoma Girls placed first as a team with Christian Everett, Serena Dobbs, Vada Cortez, and Paula Mae Bacon placing first in their respective weight classes. Hector Colon-Rivera also placed first in his respective weight class. Nevaeh Kirby, Maddie Cervantes, and Maci Green all placed second in their respective weight classes. Those placing in third for the Coahoma Boys team included Eugene Vasquez, Reagan Chapman, and Silas Privett.
Both teams will compete tomorrow with Big Spring at the Coahoma High School Invitational.
