BIG SPRING, TX 7-27-23 — Malinda Flenniken, Managing Partner of KBest Media, announces the promotion of Mark Richardson to General Manager of KBest Media’s radio division.
According to Flenniken, Richardson has been employed by KBest for over six consecutive years, but began his broadcasting career much earlier. While attending Big Spring High School, Richardson worked part-time at KBST AM 1490 radio from 1987-1989. Richardson went on to earn his bachelor’s degree at Angelo State University and has been employed by Baylor University, McLane Corporation, and the Boy Scouts of America which brought him back to Big Spring in 2013. He joined KBest Media in 2014 as a sportscaster, then was hired full-time as Operations Manager in 2016. While serving in that role, Richardson continued sportscasting as well as co-hosting the KBest Country morning show. In his new role as General Manager, Richardson will continue with his love of sports and morning show broadcasting, and will take on a greater role in management and administrative duties.

Richardson can be heard along with co-host Adrienne Green during “KBest Country Chaos” on KBest 95.7 FM, AM 1490 & FM 103.9 weekday mornings from 6:00-9:00. KBest Media’s radio division also includes “94.3 The Fuse,” and live streaming at kbst.com as well as the KBest Media app.
